Eddie Wiley from Kilmallock will be Guest of Honour on the night
CLUB LIMERICK New York are holding their Celebration Banquet at Mulino's at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester, New York, on Friday, November 13.
This year has proven to be an outstanding sporting success for the Limerick hurlers—winning the All-Ireland, Munster League, National League, and Munster Championship.
The success, alongside the minors winning the All-Ireland after a 42-year gap—giving us much to celebrate at the event that will run from 7pm to midnight.
Eddie Wiley from Kilmallock will be honoured on the night and will be Guest of Honour. Eddie is a founding member of Club Limerick New York.
Eddie played hurling and football with Kilmallock, winning a senior medal with the Balbec in 1985. The event is set to be extra special after their win in the Limerick senior final on Sunday.
After moving to New York in 1989, Eddie continued his involvement with the GAA, playing with Limerick NY under the management of Maurice Foley.
In recent years, Eddie served tirelessly as club chairman, and we look forward to celebrating his contributions on what promises to be an amazing night.
The Club Person of the Year award to Mary O'Donovan Myers from Effin. Mary moved to New York in 1986, raised her family with her husband Dermot, and was elected club secretary in 2019. She has demonstrated tremendous dedication and has been a fantastic servant to the club and community.
