WATCH: Peter Casey 'elated' as Limerick save their best for final
Peter Casey had another great day in Croke Park, scoring four points in Limerick’s victory over Galway
IT WAS another excellent day for Peter Casey at Croke Park as he continued his excellent season with another dazzling display.
The Na Piarsiagh marksman hit form with four points but it was his work rate throughout the 70 minutes that set him apart yet again.
Speaking to the Limerick Leader at the team hotel on Monday morning, Casey couldn’t hide his delight at winning yet another Celtic Cross.
“Yeah, just obviously delighted, obviously sheer elation, I suppose, this morning. I think the most satisfying thing is just obviously getting our best performance out yesterday really, really satisfying. Delighted and looking forward to the next couple of days.”
Casey added that this win in the final was just as good as all the others and that every one that Limerick have won since 2018 is ‘cherished’.
“There's no real difference.I think every All-Ireland you win is obviously special. They're incredibly hard to win, so any win that you do get, you kind of cherish.
“Just probably nearly, if anything, it's more satisfying than anything else because it took two or three years, obviously, to get back here again.”
