Limerick newlyweds honeymoon at Croke Park for the All-Ireland Final

ONE LIMERICK couple finished off their honeymoon with a stop in Croke Park to watch the Limerick senior hurlers win the All-Ireland for the first time in three years.
James O'Regan and Andrea Moloney O'Regan continued the celebration of their nuptials in GAA HQ.
There’s a bit of a rivalry between the newlyweds, with Andrea hailing from Tipperary.
“They were the reigning champions, and it’s nice that we’re able to take their crown,” James said, though he acknowledged that his wife was cheering for the Limerick side in Sunday’s final.
Having wed on Friday, July 10, the couple have spent the past week sunning themselves in Majorca, enjoying the 30-degree heat.
Given Ireland’s recent spell of incredible weather, and the AC in Spanish homes, James commented that he found it hard to sleep with the heat when he came home on Saturday night.
Though his wife “would have liked to have gone for seven or eight nights,” James insisted on sticking to a six-night getaway so that they wouldn’t miss the all-important All-Ireland final.
“It was absolutely brilliant,” he said of Limerick’s win. “Limerick, in fairness, dominated from early on, so it was nice to be able to relax towards the end, knowing that they had it won.”
James admitted that Limerick winning an All-Ireland has to be the best way to end a honeymoon, “especially when you’re married now to a Tipperary woman!”
A PRO (public relations officer) of his local club, Kilteely-Dromkeen GAA, he added that getting to meet everyone out and about at the match, and knowing that some of his fellow club members were involved with the team, made the day that much more enjoyable.
“It’s always great to have some local connection on the panel and team as well,” he explained, with club members Denny Ahern, Éibhear O'Dea and Conor Ahern on the backroom team.
The newlyweds concluded their day out in the big smoke by cheering on Spain in the World Cup Final, having picked up some knock-off jerseys while on holidays!
