CLANE SHOCK LARRIES

Clane caused the shock of the Joe Mallon Renault SFC on Sunday evening at St Conleth's Park when they deservedly defeated St Laurences on a final score line of Clane 2-11 St Laurence's 1-12.

Goal from Conor Doyle (which took a deflection) and a brilliant second half goal from Kyle Devey set up the former kingpins of Kildlare football.

Outstanding for the winners were Brian McLoughlin and Jack McCreevy but this was a real team performance and fully deserved by the Kieran McMenamin managed side.

Clane scored a penalty in the 62 minute but it was too late to save the day.

In the IFC there were wins for Raheens, St Kevins while Kilcullen and Kilcock drew.
