Bingo in The Gaff with Leeanne O’Donnell, Lucia Brunetti and Mary Walsh
THREE members of the one family are to feature in a new play set in contemporary Limerick.
Bingo! by Carrie Barrett, takes to the Belltable stage on on November 28 for three nights before transferring to Friars’ Gate Theatre, Kilmallock on November 30.
Barrett, one of the three Limerick artists to feature in the Liverpool Irish Festival recently, wrote the play and her sister and mother are among the 12 strong cast.
Under the direction of Joan Sheehy, this play promises to bring an unusual slant on domestic violence and the relationships it affects, but it is also very funny.
Barrett created the work in close collaboration with fellow members of Moyross Community Drama and her sister Leeanne O’Donnell and Sheila Fitzpatrick- O’Donnell play women who share a history of domestic violence.
Delighted to get news of funding this week from Creative Ireland Limerick for Bingo! which opens @BelltableLimk and @friars2 Kilmallock this week.
