Members of Limerick Gospel Choir in preparation for their Christmas concert for charity
LIMERICK Gospel Choir has announced its annual Christmas Charity Concert A Feast of Christmas Songs and Carols, with all proceeds going to Milford Care Centre.
There will be free entry to the concert, and volunteers will be urging people to donate whatever they can for the worthy cause.
“Milford Hospice has touched so many lives in our community and offered a wealth of support to loved ones over the years that we want to do our best in raising as much funds as possible, not only through our upcoming concert but also through our recent CD for Milford, A Soulful Christmas with the Limerick Gospel Choir,” said PRO Joanne Forde.
Special guests on the evening include a very talented young singer, Katie Forde Downes, and Catherine McAuley Youth Choir.
Femke van der Kooij, who is a graduate from the World Music Academy in UL, will also be bringing some festive melodies.
The concert will take place this Sunday December 17 at 5.30pm in St Michael’s Church, Denmark Street.
All ages are welcome, and there will be plenty of Christmas tunes to sing to, clap to, and “to really get you in the festive mood”.
