RENOWNED pianist Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin will perform with the National Youth Orchestra at the UCH this Friday night.
The musician will join the orchestra, conducted by Gearóid Grant, for the Summer Proms concert.
The orchestra, comprising Ireland’s most talented 12-18 year olds, will perform a programme including Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 in B minor.
Ó Súilleabháin will join the orchestra on stage as piano soloist for a performance of his best-loved works.
Guest musician is traditional flute player, Niall Keegan, while two young Limerick musicians will also perform with the orchestra – Zoe Stedje, a cellist living in the city and Cathal Daly, a violinist from Newcastle West. See www.uch.ie.
