Robert Burns is Scotland's most well-known poet
SCOTLAND'S most famous poet is to be celebrated in Limerick city next week.
An evening of “feast and revelry” and “tipsy dance and jollity” are in store, as the life and times of the Scottish
bard are celebrated at Dolan's Pub at Dock Road from 7pm on Sunday, January 25.
Organised by Mungret man Michael Potter, this year’s celebration will feature Mr Potter in the role of compere -
and he will no doubt roll out a few of Robbie Burns’s classic poems.

The night will also include haggis and sandwiches, neeps and tatties, alongside pipe and violin music.
Mayor John Moran will be on hand to officially get the party going.
People will be invited to recite a few of Robbie Burns’s classic poems, including his famous Tam O’Shanter!
Entry is free to the gathering, but donations appreciated.
