Major acts to headline iconic Limerick venues all across the city

A WAVE of major live shows have been announced for Limerick next year, with events set to light up both the Docklands and King John’s Castle.

One of Ireland’s top live acts, The Coronas, will make a big return to the castle stage on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Long celebrated for their soaring choruses and infectious anthems the band continues to dominate at home and abroad.

Their last four albums have all entered the Irish charts at No 1, and their global fanbase has grown through sold-out tours across the UK, North America, and Australia.

Also returning to Limerick is Dec Pierce’s Block Rockin’ Beats, part of the 2026 Docklands Festival and taking place on Saturday, August 15.

Known as one of Ireland’s most explosive live shows, it reimagines iconic dance anthems from Underworld, Faithless, The Prodigy, and more, delivered by a full live band and special guest vocalists.

“The show is all about energy, nostalgia, fun - we want you to completely lose yourself for a few hours.” said Dec.

Rounding out the announcements, acclaimed Irish band Bell X1 will take over King John’s Castle on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Known for their genre-spanning sound and dynamic live performances, the group is also working on a new album due next year.

Their Limerick show will open their Irish summer tour.
