RIVERFEST Limerick marks its 21st year with four days of fun and celebration, presenting a diverse range of activities and events designed to delight visitors of all ages this May Bank Holiday Weekend.
As always there is plenty for kids to enjoy from Friday, May 2 to Monday, May 5, but for the 2025 festival a hectic schedule of events has also been confirmed for those over 18.
“Organising Riverfest Limerick is a labour of love for our team each year and this year is no exception. We have an incredible line-up of activities that will keep people entertained and coming back for more. Riverfest Limerick 2025 is set to be an unforgettable experience,” said head of Tourism, Festivals and Events at Limerick City and County Council, Eileen Coleman.
“Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that Riverfest Limerick 2025 is not only entertaining but also environmentally responsible. We're excited to see the community embrace these green initiatives and set a new standard for festivals in Limerick.”

Dance the night away at the Riverfest Street Party, with live DJs on Honan’s Quay on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, from 6pm to 10pm.
Limerick will rock you with live shows at King John’s Castle including Qween: It’s a Kinda Queen, David Gray and The Coronas adding to the vibrant night-time atmosphere.
For fashion enthusiasts, style icon Celia Holman Lee will be sharing tips at Fashionfest, showcasing Limerick’s talented designers at Gardens International on Friday.
Make a splash with Riverfest on the Shannon's water-based fun, or test your skills with Games in the Garden at the Hunt Museum.
Other Riverfest staples will return this year, including the Panoramic Wheel, the fireworks show, and the annual Regeneron Great Limerick Run.
The full line-up can be found on www.limerick.ie, with other events across the weekend including a Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre performance and the National All-Ireland BBQ Competition.
