FOOTBALL fans in Limerick were out in force at the Sky store at the Crescent Shopping Centre this Thursday morning to support the Girls in Green as they took on Australia in their first match in the FIFA Women's World Cup.
There was heartbreak for the Republic of Ireland as they lost 1-0 to the Matildas in front of a capacity crowd at Stadium Australia in Sydney.
A watch party for Limerick fans was hosted by Sky Ireland as the TV company is the primary sponsor of the Republic of Ireland Women's team.
