The Status Yellow weather alert comes into effect at 10pm on Thursday
MET Éireann is warning of a risk of high winds across Limerick later this week.
The national forecaster has issued a Status Yellow weather alert which is due to come into effect at 10pm on Thursday.
“Southwest winds will reach mean wind speeds between 55 to 65km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h,” states the weather alert which also applies to nine other counties along the West Coast.
The Status Yellow alert, which was issed by Met Éireann at midday on Wednesday will remain in place until 9am on Friday.
