In typical Irish summer style, there's a mixed bag in store for the coming days

More showers and warm temperatures on the way in latest Met Éireann weather forecast

There's no end in sight to this mild and showery weather according to Met Éireann's latest weather forecast.

Warm temperatures and persistent showers look set to continue throughout the week and into the weekend, although Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel has assured that we should see mostly dry weather overall.

The weatherman also said that despite the lack of sunshine, these temperatures are around the average expected for July.

Here is how the weather forecast is looking for the next few days according to Met Éireann.

Wednesday night will be mostly dry apart from some isolated showers early on. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees.

Thursday will be dry throughout most of the day with some warm spells of hazy sunshine. Cloud will gradually build in the afternoon across Atlantic counties, bringing with it some rain and drizzle in the evening. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees.

Thursday night will be cloudy with patches of rain and drizzle moving eastwards across the country. Lowest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.

Friday will be off to a cloudy start with some patchy rain in some areas. Sunny spells and scattered showers will follow from the west later in the day. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

Friday night will see more showers move into the west and northwest but elsewhere will remain dry. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees.

There will be some scattered showers on Saturday morning, although they will become more isolated in the afternoon as more sunshine develops. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

Saturday night will be mostly dry, however showers will start to spread in the northwest later in the night. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

Sunday will see showers spread southeastwards across the country with some sunny spells in between. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.
