Hundreds without power in Limerick

Status Yellow rain warning is in force

ESB Networks to carry out 'sizeable' job on Chapel street in Dundalk tomorrow

HUNDREDS of homes and businesses across Limerick are without power this Sunday due to the stormy weather.

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for the county, accompanied by strong and gusty winds.

There are currently faults in Galbally, near Dromcollogher, Pallaskenry, Feohanagh, Kilmeedy and Bruree with over 500 customers affected.

ESB apologises for the loss of supply, say they are currently working to repair the faults and will restore power as quickly as possible.

ESB warn fallen electricity wires are live and dangerous and "never approach or touch them".
