Today highest temperatures from 16 to 20 degrees
Following news that we're going to see more Summery weather next week, Met Éireann's forecast for this week looks like we won't see much of it till then.
Looking firstly at today's weather forecast provided by Carlow Weather on X: "A lovely morning with nice sunny start for most after a cool night with my station getting down to 3.2c. Plenty of hazy sunshine today and up to 20c."
Carlow Weather also had their say on next week's hopeful forecast: "Ensembles show the real warm air in longer range may be unlikely but still looking very good next week."
Back to Met Éireann for the day: "Dry today with long spells of hazy sunshine in a light westerly or variable breeze. Possibly turning cloudier in the west and northwest later. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees, coolest near Atlantic coasts."
This evening: "Tonight will be dry with clear spells for most of the country. Turning cloudier in the west and northwest with isolated patches of light rain and drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in a light variable breeze."
Thursday: "Mostly dry with sunny spells, though it will be cloudier in the west and northwest with isolated light patches of rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, warmest away from Atlantic coastal counties, in a light southwest breeze."
Thursday evening: "Rain will slowly spread from the Atlantic overnight, though parts of the east and southeast will stay dry. Mild with lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees, in light to moderate southerly winds, freshening along coasts."
Friday: "A wet and overcast day with outbreaks of rain spreading from the west through the day. The rain will clear eastwards to sunny spells and scattered showers later. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds."
Friday night: "Rain will linger in the east for a time, with long clear spells elsewhere. Temperatures not falling below 10 to 14 degrees, with light westerly winds."
