'More Prolonged Summer Weather' predicted for next week
Ireland could be set to finally see ''More prolonged Summer weather" next week according to some forecasters who have given their forecasts.
Firstly, Ireland's Weather Channel on their Facebook Live forecast: "Certainly going into next week, it does like we will see above average temperatures across the country, getting up at times into the mid 20s where we see clear skies remain."
"With that as well, well below average precipitation levels. Its the first sign we are seeing of more prolonged Summer weather as we go into next week and I suppose the charts are suggesting the last week of June and into July will be more of a dry settled period."
Looking to then to Met Éireann's national forecast for today:
"Dry across most areas today but starting out cloudy with faint showers feeding down on a moderate northerly flow, mainly affecting Ulster. Sunny spells will gradually develop with widespread spells of late sunshine likely by evening. Highs of 14 to 19 degrees, best values where sunshine breaks through."
As we look forward into the week their prediction reads: "Wednesday will be dry with high hazy sunshine in just light variable mainly westerly breezes. Highs of 16 to 21 degrees, warmest in sunshine away from Atlantic fringes."
Thursday: "Dry with rather warm hazy sunshine in just light southwest breezes. Highs of 16 to 22 degrees, best values away from Atlantic coastal areas. Rain may push in off the Atlantic overnight."
Friday: "Some uncertainty but cloudy outbreaks of rain will likely occur. Highs of 16 to 21 degrees, best values where any sunny spells develop, all in a moderate southerly breeze."
And their early look to the weekend's weather: "Overall dry with sunny spells though perhaps cloudier closer to the Atlantic. Highs of 16 to 23 degrees, warmest across the Midlands, South and East, especially on Sunday."
