Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather posted weather model graphics and pointed to an "interesting little feature on some weather models for Sunday night."
He said the models bring them them "a risk of some strong winds."
"However, some models don’t develop it all so will be interesting to see how this develops over next 36 hours weather models updates," he added.

Met Éireann's forecast for Sunday predicts "outbreaks of rain will spread to all areas.
"However, clearer and drier weather with just a few showers will develop in Munster during the morning, before spreading across the rest of the country in the afternoon and evening.
"Quite breezy with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, veering southwesterly and easing later. Highest temperatures of 7 degrees in the north to 13 degrees in the south."
