A MIX OF cloudy and sunny spells as we head to the weekend. It will turn cloudier at times this afternoon and evening when a few heavier showers will be possible. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees in a light to moderate south to southwest wind, increasing fresh to strong and gusty near coasts.

NATIONAL OUTLOOK

Showers will ease early tonight with clear spells developing, however, more frequent heavy showers will move in from the west later. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in mostly moderate southwesterly winds, freshening along Atlantic coasts towards morning.

Blustery with sunny spells and scattered showers tomorrow, turning heavy and possibly thundery. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees with moderate southwest to west winds, fresher near exposed coasts.

Lowest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees tomorrow night.

Sunny spells and scattered showers will open proceedings on Sunday. Cloud will gradually build from the southwest with rain and drizzle gradually following through the day, turning heavier later. Highest temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees generally in light to moderate southwesterly breezes.

Dull and wet on Sunday night with outbreaks of rain, heavy in places with a chance of spot flooding. Humid with temperatures not falling below 13 to 15 degrees in mostly moderate southwesterly winds.

A cloudy and wet start to the new week, though sunny spells and scattered showers will follow in from the west. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

A good deal of uncertainty in the outlook but current indications suggest there will be further showers on Tuesday but there are tentative signs of drier spells developing through the middle of the week.
