IN a bid to raise much needed revenue, Galvone National School in Limerick are raffling two tickets to Munster’s Heineken Cup match with Harlequins in London.
The two sides do battle on April 7, and the prize also includes flight, travel with the team, four-star accommodation, match transfers, airport transfer and taxes.
Businesses across the city are selling tickets, which are priced at €5 each.
Principal of the southside school Ted O’Mahony said funds raised will be used on the day-to-day expenditure of the school.
“Our income has reduced year on year, but our outgoings are increasing. The price of oil and other basic necessities are increasing, but the grants we get from the department are being cut,” he said.
To launch the fundraising drive, Munster stars Marcus Horan, Niall Ronan and Johne Murphy lent their support.
