Tommy Barrett's side will be looking to build on what was a positive result away to Kerry FC last week.
Ben Lee's injury-time strike earned Treaty a 1-1 draw in Tralee, that result keeps them just inside those all important play-off positions.
The Shannonsiders sit in fifth place on 42 points with Wexford FC breathing down their necks' on 41 points, just behind them in sixth place.
Friday's opponents, Longford Town, sit in seventh place with their own play-off hopes still alive with the Midlanders sitting on 36 points.
The last time the sides met, it was LongFord who took all three points at Bishopsgate last month. Goals from Aaron Doran and Darragh Murtagh gave the home side a 2-0 win.
With just three games to go, Friday's clash could well decide Treaty's play-off fate.
The Shannonsiders have Bray Wanderers and Wexford FC to come in their last two league outings, picking up all three points on Friday would give Treaty some much needing breathing room.
Kick-off tonight is at 7.45pm and the match will be broadcast live on LOITV.
