TREATY United manager Tommy Barrett and his team will host a strong Sligo Rovers squad as part of their pre-season preparations, which are crucial with the First Division league campaign just over two weeks away.

This fixture offers local fans a glimpse of the action to come before the start of the new League of Ireland season in mid-February.

Treaty United host Sligo Rovers at the Markets Field on Friday evening, 6.30pm, before making the short trip to The Fairgreen on Saturday to take on local junior side Fairview Rangers, 3pm. The Fairgreen fixtures will mark the official opening of Fairview's new stand and astroturf pitch.

In a bid to make football as accessible as possible to local people, Treaty United is offering special rates/offers for Friday night’s game with Sligo Rovers at the Markets Field:

* Free admission for all under-18s (children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult).

* A special third level student promotion: Buy one student ticket, bring a friend for free!

* €10 only on all other adult admission.

COO of Treaty United, Marie O’Meara commented: "As we return to the Markets Field for 2025, it’s an honour to create opportunities for the region to celebrate local football and provide memorable experiences for young people and families.

"It’s a chance for the next generation to experience League of Ireland football right on their doorstep and to be inspired by players who proudly represent our Midwest club. It’s also a vital opportunity to deepen community engagement as we play our part in developing the game as a League of Ireland club based in the Midwest.

Treaty United have themed the event as ‘Celebrating All Things Local’ as the club bring local people in the  community together through football.

Treaty look forward to welcoming attendance from local schools, grassroots clubs, businesses, universities/colleges, and from local sports fans from around the Midwest!

The game is sponsored by Limerick-based Treaty City Brewery.
