TREATY United will switch their focus to the Sports Direct FAI Cup this Friday night when taking on Wexford FC in a last eight tie at Ferrycarrig Park, 7.45pm.
Treaty were held to a 1-1 draw by ninth-placed Kerry FC in their most recent outing in the SSE Airtricity League First Division at the Markets Field on Friday night.
Evan O'Connor's strike in the 11th minute of injury time for Treaty United saw the sides share the spoils at the Garryowen venue.
With their hopes of gaining a promotion play-off place fading fast, Treaty United will look to re-ignite their season at Ferrycarrig Park on Friday night. Treaty will also be looking to avenge their recent 3-1 home league defeat to Wexford.
Looking ahead to Friday's quarter-final, Treaty boss Tommy Barrett said of Wexford: “We know they’re a good side, we know that they’ve got good attacking players, they’ve a really good squad.
“We have to keep it tight, we have to go down there and try to stop them scoring and see can we nick a victory because they’ll be clear favourites.”
Treaty United have reached the FAI Cup quarter final twice in the last three years. Treaty defeated Limerick District League junior soccer side Pike Rovers to book their quarter-final place.
