TREATY United resume their SSE Airtricity League First Division programme of fixtures this Friday when hosting Finn Harps in a crucial league fixture at the Markets Field, 7.45pm.

Treaty go into the game on the back of a dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Kilbarrack United, of the Leinster Senior League, in their Sports Direct FAI Cup round two meeting at the Markets Field on Friday night.

Highly-rated teenage goalkeeper Michael Dike proved to be the Treaty united hero when saying two spot-kicks in the shoot-out in a 4-1 win after the sides had finished 0-0 after extra-time.

With their passage to the last 16 stage of the FAI Cup safely secured, Treaty United switch their focus back to re-igniting their SSE Airtricity League First Division promotion play-off bid. Tommy Barrett's charges ended a two-game winless league run, when securing a 1-1 draw away to ten-man UCD at Belfield in their most recent league outing.

Goals from Mark Byrne for Treaty and Eanna Clancy for the students either side of half-time saw the points shared. Treaty United remain in eighth place in the First Division table, seven points off the promotion play-off places.

Friday's visitors to the Markets Field, Finn Harps, are fourth in the First Division table.
