TREATY United will be desperate to secure a much-needed win in the SSE Airtricity League First Division this Friday night when basement side, Longford Town, visit the Markets Field, 7.45pm kick-off.

Injury-hit Treaty United, who sit in eighth place in the First Division table, have now gone 14 games without a victory in the league, the last success coming on March 3.

Treaty's run has seen the side drop 10 points off the promotion play-off place in the First Division.

A host of injuries in the squad resulted in Treaty listing just five outfield substitutes for Friday night's visit to table toppers Cork City at Turner's Cross.

Tommy Barrett's charges recorded their second consecutive draw on Leeside, when battling to a 1-1 stalemate against runaway leaders City.

Treaty were dealt an early body blow as referee Oliver Moran awarded the Leesiders an eighth minute penalty. Evan McLaughlin dispatched the spot kick with ease past Corey Chambers in the Treaty goal.

The visitors then scored an equaliser just before the half-time break as Alec Byrne buried a parried shot from Mark Byrne into the Cork net. Friday night's visitors to the Markets Field, Longford Town, played out a 0-0 draw with Cobh Ramblers on Saturday night.
