Survivor contestants reunite in Limerick
LEE Reeves and Pegleg Bennett were seen together in Limerick City over the weekend as the Limerick boxer received a visit from his fellow Survivor contestant.
As a birthday surprise for his daughter, whose “favourite” is Lee, Bennett flew himself and his daughter to Limerick to spend the weekend with Reeves and watch the latest episode of Survivor. “What a weekend it was” commented Reeves on Instagram.
The professional boxer was eliminated on episode 20 of the show which airs on BBC.
Reeves and the Pegleg became close friends throughout the filming of the show and have maintained close contact since.
Pegleg, Who is still in the running for the title of Sole Survivor, is a professional big wave surfer who was born with no ankle in his leg, leading to his parent to opt to amputate his foot, a decision that never slowed him down as he describes it as the best choice they could have made.
In 2016, he legally changed his name from Rick to his nickname, Pegleg.
