Exciting Limerick trio commit to Galway United FC Women's squad for 2023

THREE Limerick players have signed for the Galway United FC senior women's team for the 2023 Women’s Premier Division season.

Eighteen-year-old Jenna Slattery makes the switch to Galway United having spent a season with Galway WFC, scoring seven times in 23 appearances in 2022. 

The highly-rated Slattery has made four appearances for the Republic of Ireland across the U17 and U19 women's teams.

Slattery scored 10 goals for Treaty United in their 2021 Women's National League season and was voted the side's Senior Player of the Year. She previously played with Fairview Rangers. 

Meanwhile, another exciting Limerick player, Nicole McNamara, has also signed for the Galway United FC Senior Women's Team ahead of the 2023 season.

McNamara, from Ballingarry, joins United after two seasons with Galway WFC, making 36 appearances in the Women's Premier Division since 2021, scoring once.

McNamara has made five appearances for the Republic of Ireland Women's U19 team.

The highly-rated McNamara previously played with Ballingarry AFC and the Treaty United U17 side before joining Galway.

The talented 16-year-old joins Galway United after making one senior appearance for Galway WFC in 2022. Jodie has won the U17 National League with Treaty United in 2021.

The midfielder has represented the Republic of Ireland at U15 and U16 level. Jodie Griffin, from Blood Mill Road, previously played with Fairview Rangers before joining Treaty United.
