FAI Junior Cup final off as Aisling Annacotty lodge protest against Sheriff YC

Saturday's scheduled New Balance FAI Junior Cup final has been postponed

SATURDAY'S scheduled New Balance FAI Junior Cup final has been postponed as Limerick side Aisling Annacotty has lodged a formal protest against semi-final opponents Sheriff YC.

The final, which was due to take place on Saturday, May 11 between St Michael's AFC, of Tipperary Town, and Sheriff YC, has been postponed on the decision of the FAI Junior Council Key Committee.

Aisling Annacotty have lodged a formal protest against Sheriff YC, following their semi-final defeat on Sunday, May 5.

The Limerick Leader understands that Aisling Annacotty have lodged two separate objections in relation to player registration on the Sherriff YC teamsheet from their semi final last weekend. Sheriff YC defeated Aisling Annacotty 1-0 last Sunday afternoon 

The FAI New Balance Intermediate Cup final between Avondale United and Crumlin United will go ahead as planned at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, May 11, with kick-off at 2pm.
