Live television the highlight as Limerick club hurling championship commences

THE Limerick SHC commences this weekend with six first round games.

The highlight will be Sunday's live televised game between Doon and Patrickswell - live on TG4 at 2.30.

This will be a repeat of last year's semi final, which Doon won 2-17 to 0-22. The east Limerick men also won when the sides met in the 2018 group phase.

Doon will arrive to Fitzgerald Park in Kilmallock full of confidence with Oola unbeaten after two rounds of the Limerick SHC and Doon crowned county Premier U-21 hurling champions.

Also on Sunday, champions Na Piarsaigh open their title defence against promoted South Liberties.

The third game on Sunday will see 2018 Premier IHC winners Garryspillane face Murroe-Boher.

Now sponsored by Bons Secours Hospital, the Limerick SHC opens with two games on Friday; Monaleen against Ahane and Ballybrown against Knockainey.

There is on senior game on Saturday evening - Adare play Kilmallock.
