Based on strong performances at recent trials, several Limerick rowing stars have been pre-selected for Junior Crewsahead of both the Junior World Championships and Coupe de la Jeunesse 2019.
Castleconnell's James O'Donovan will be going to Japan from August 7-11 with the Irish JM4+ having been named in the crew alongside John Kearney of Cork, Jack Dorney of Shandon, Matthew Gallagher of St Josephs and Leah O'Regan, also of Shandon.
Meanwhile Chris Kirwin of SMRC and Rory O'Neill of Castleconnell have been named on the Irish squad for the Coupe de la Jeunesse . Kirwin will row in the JW2x alongside her team mate Grace Healy of Commercial. O'Neill will be in the JM4x alongside Finn O’ Reilly (Skibbereen), Thomas Kelly (Kenmare) and Andrew Sheehan (Lee). The Coupe de la Jeunesse takes place from August 2-4 in Italy
