Munster Rugby give injury update on Joey Carbery and Jack O'Donoghue

Munster out-half Joey Carbery

The Munster squad returned to training at the HPC in Limerick today ahead of Friday night’s Guinness PRO14 clash against Cardiff Blues at Irish Independent Park (7.35pm).

Following Saturday’s Champions Cup quarter-final win in Edinburgh, Munster Rugby’s Medical Department have issued the below update.

Jack O’Donoghue failed a HIA in Edinburgh and will follow the graded return to play protocols, while out-half Joey Carbery has a left hamstring injury and will be assessed further by the medical department today. It is not clear whether Carbery will be risked ahead of Munster's meeting with Saracens on April 20 in Coventry.

The following players are progressing with rehabilitation: Brian Scott (foot), James Cronin (leg), Tommy O’Donnell (shoulder).
