FORMER Limerick football star Stephen Kelly has been unveiled as part of the new 2019 Limerick U-20 football management.

The team will be managed by former Limerick minor football manager and former Newcastle West coach Jerry O'Sullivan.

O'Sullivan was manager of East Kerry last season, where he had Ger O'Callaghan (Castlegregory) as his coach and the duo will link up again with the Limerick U-20 side.

Clare native Conor Shannon, of the St Breckans club, is the team's strength and conditioning coach.

Newcastle West's Stephen Kelly will be a selector, alongside Sean Holmes (Oola).

The full management team was confirmed at this week's February County Board meeting in the Woodlands House Hotel.

Limerick are away to Tipperary in the Munster U-20 football championship quarter final on July 2. A Limerick win would book a trip to Kerry for a July 11 semi final.

On July 2 Limerick will face a Tipperary side managed by Tom McGlinchey - a former Limerick minor and U-21 football manager. The Cork native is a former Tipperary senior football manager and returns back to manage their U-20 side after managing the Waterford senior footballers for the last few years.

At minor level, this Limerick group was managed by current Limerick ladies football manager John Ryan. In the Munster MFC they beat Waterford but then lost to Clare.
