Munster centre a doubt for trip to Gloucester in Champions Cup

Munster's Chris Farrell is an injury doubt ahead of Friday night's game

The Munster squad returned to training at the High Performance Centre in Limerick this Monday ahead of Friday’s Champions Cup clash against Gloucester at Kingsholm (7.45pm).

Irish centre Chris Farrell, who suffered a right knee injury against Connacht, will be assessed by the medical department today and is a slight doubt for Friday night's must win away clash.

Prop John Ryan was removed as a precaution for a head injury assessment in the first half of Saturday night’s game. He has completed the HIA process and has been cleared to train.

Backrow Chris Cloete (neck) will be reintegrated into team training this week, while JJ Hanrahan is currently being assessed by the medical department for a left hip injury.

In other good injury news, Rhys Marshall is expected to be involved for Munster this weekend. The New Zealand native will be available for selection, with Niall Scannell expected to start at number two.

The following are progressing with rehabilitation: Brian Scott (foot), James Cronin (leg) Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Dave O’Callaghan (foot).
