Limerick Ladies Football manager reportedly dismissed weeks after All-Ireland title

Manager John Ryan and captain Cathy Mee arriving back to Limerick

THERE is speculation in Limerick this Wednesday evening that Limerick Ladies Football have parted ways with manager John Ryan just six weeks after their All-Ireland title success.

It is understood that an end of season review took place on Monday between Ryan and members of Limerick Ladies Football County Board.

This Wednesday morning Ryan was informed that his services would not be required for the 2019 season when Limerick are due to play in the intermediate ranks after securing promotion with their September 16 Croke Park All Ireland Junior Ladies Football Final win over Louth.

Ryan, a former Limerick minor and junior football manager, was in his first year as Ladies Football manager. He was joined in the management team by coach Jim Moran and selector Paul Butler.

Neither Ryan or Limerick Ladies Football Board were available for comment.
