Mark Enright teamed up with Gordon Elliott for a winner at Tramore on Thursday afternoon. To the delight of punters, Thisonesforrollie justified strong support when taking the 2m5f handicap hurdle at odds of 7/2 favourite for owners Bertie Mannion and Brendan O’Grady.

Chris Hayes was the big winner at Dundalk on Friday night where he partnered the Darren Bunyan-trained Hit The Bid to land the Group 3 Al Basti Equiworld Mercury Stakes. A well-backed 4/1 chance, the son of Exceed And Excel battled well to account for British raider Encore D’or by half-a-length. The winner is off on his travels and will be in action in both Hong Kong and Dubai for the winter months.

Askeaton trainer Davy Fitzgerald and amateur rider Laura Hourigan combined to land the lady riders’ bumper at Tramore on Thursday. The pair scored a cosy success with 6/1 chance Ballon Onabudget which is set to go hurdling in the coming weeks.

Donie McInerney partnered the Ray Hackett-trained The Ballyboys to win the 3m handicap hurdle at Cork on Sunday. Sent off at odds of 8/1, the eight-year-old was left clear at the final flight to win easily after the front-running Naturally Blond crashed out. The final race of the meeting was won in very convincing fashion by 10/11 favourite Doctor Duffy which turned Tipperary form around with First Approach to land the bumper. Ray Barron did the steering on the winner in the colours of the Relicpride Partnership.
