Novel pairing of Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Cappamore in county JAFC final

Tony McCarthy (Kildimo-Pallaskenry), sponsor Mary Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald's Woodlands House Hotel) and Con Berkery (Cappamore) ahead of the Limerick Junior A Football Final

THE curtain-raiser to the Limerick SFC final in Newcastle West on Sunday, is the meeting of Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Cappamore in the county JAFC decider. Throw-in at 1pm.

Cappamore are bidding to make an immediate return to the intermediate ranks after relegation last year after five years up in the second tier.

The east Limerick men last won this title in 2012 – incidentally the year after they had been relegated.

On that occasion they beat Kildimo-Pallaskenry in the quarter final 7-8 to 0-14.

Kildimo-Pallaskenry are looking to reach the IFC for the first time – they won the Junior B title in 2014.

Cappamore are looking to add the JAFC title to last weekend’s JBHC.
