Cheltenham Preview Night returns to Dunraven Arms

THE popular Cheltenham Preview Night returns to the Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare on Sunday, March 4 for the final time.

After a continuous run of 25 years, there was a break 12 months ago when the preview night did not take place. However, the event is back and for one last time boasting a stellar line-up of guests in a few weeks’ time.

Respected Racing Broadcaster of the Year’ Nick Luck returns to quiz a panel that includes Tom Segal – Pricewise of the Racing Post, Ben Pauling – top UK trainer, Philip Hobbs – hugely successful UK Trainer, Joseph O’Brien – rising Irish training star, Derek O’Connor – Irelands leading amateur rider, Andrew McNamara – Limerick-born trainer and RTE TV racing analyst, Richard Johnson, Champion National Hunt jockey in the UK.

A Cheltenham Preview at the Dunraven has always given attendees some decent-priced winners for the lead National Hunt Festival in March. Dinner will be served as part of night, with proceeds from the night supporting the worthy Injured Jockeys’ Fund. Further information is available from Hugh or Louis Murphy at 061 605900.

The 2018 Cheltenham National Hunt Festival runs from Tuesday, March 13 to Friday, March 16 inclusive.

The jumps racing bonanza attracts attendances of 260,000 and a total prize fund of stg£4.5 million. Irish horse racing fans spent €22.3million at The Cheltenham Festival in 2016 spread across travel, accommodation, tickets and entertainment.
