Tuohy confirmed as 2017 Limerick camogie manager

JOHN Tuohy is to continue as Limerick senior camogie manager for 2017.

The principal of St Pauls National School in Dooradoyle has altered his backroom team ahead of his second season at the helm.

Shirley Balfrey (Patrickswell), Darragh O’Grady (Granagh-Ballingarry) and Ger Hickey (Crecora) are selectors under Tuohy with Declan Nash continuing as strength and conditioning coach.

Trials to assemble a 2017 senior panel will take place on October 23 and October 31.

Limerick’s options for new season will be bolstered by the return to action of Sarah Carey, Lorraine McCarthy, Megan O’Meara and Katie Campbell.

In recent weeks Dearbhla Egan was among the nominations for the Junior Soaring Stars award, while Niamh Mulcahy is Limerick's only All Star nominee.
