Limerick SFC semi final preview – Na Piarsaigh v Drom-Broadford

THE first of the Limerick SFC semi finals takes place this Friday evening with a novel pairing of Na Piarsaigh and Dromcollogher-Broadford

Mick Neville Park hosts the game, at 7.30.

Drom-Broadford are appearing in a 17th successive senior football semi final, while Na Piarsaigh are just in their second season back in the top flight.

But Drom-Broadford have reached this far, including dethroning champions Newcastle West, without injured inter-county men Seanie Buckley and Cillian Fahy.

When the sides met in the group stages back in May, Na Piarsaigh were 2-14 to 1-13 winners.

Bidding to reach a first senior football final since 1982, the Caherdavin men have an injury doubt over defender Dean McLoughlin.

The Irish Wire Products Limerick SFC is set for October 16.

The Limerick champions will be in Munster club championship action on the weekend of October 29/30.

In a quarter final game, the Limerick SFC winners will entertain Cork opposition – Nemo Rangers, Ballincollig or Carbery Rangers.
