Boro off to winning start in Tuohy Cup

IN Limerick junior soccer the Premier League Tuohy Cup kicked off on Wednesday evening in Jackman Park when last season's runners up Janesboro progressed to the nest round by virtue of a 3-0 win over Ballynanty Rovers .

Shane Clarke gave 'Boro the lead on 15-minutes, curling a free kick from the edge of the box over the wall and into the top corner.

With the half coming to a close Kevin Barry pounced when the Balla defence misjudged the flight of the ball to give 'Boro a two goal half time advantage.

Once again Janesboro showed their clinical side midway through the half when Clarke held the ball up at the edge of the box, waited for Adrian Power to make his run and duly played the ball into the former Moyross players path and he drilled the ball past the keeper to make it 3-0.
