U-21 hurling final glory for Na Piarsaigh

Na Piarsaigh U-21 captain David Dempsey

NA PIARSAIGH retained their Mint Catering Premier under-21 title after a 1-17 to 0-15 win over Doon in Bruff on Saturday afternoon.
Na Piarsaigh led 1-7 to 0-6 at the break with a 22nd minute David Dempsey goal the key score.
A good run by Kevin Daly – a late inclusion into the team – set up Dempsey who shot passed the on-rushing Eoghan McNamara for the crucial score.
Despite 0-10 from Barry Murphy the spoils went to the Caherdavin men as late scores from Gordon Browne and Ronan Lynch ensured the win.
