Munster to learn Champions Cup pool fate on June 29

MUNSTER will learn the identity of their pool opponents in next season’s Champions Cup on Wednesday, 29 June.

Competition organisers have confirmed that the make-up of the five pools for the 2016-2017 running of the Champions Cup will be revealed on June 29 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Munster are set to be handed a daunting draw in the competition following their disappointing sixth-placed finish in this season's Guinness Pro12.

Both the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup final next season will take place at Murrayfield, with the Champions Cup decider scheduled for Saturday, May 13.

Next season’s Champions Cup will comprise of seven Guinness Pro12 sides, six Aviva Premiership teams and six Top 14 outfits.   

The competition kicks-off on the weekend of October 13 to 16.
