ARDSCOIL Ris’ Croke Cup final has been confirmed for Thurles on Easter Monday March 28.
The All Ireland Post Primary Schools senior A hurling championship final against St Kierans College, Kilkenny will have a 4.00 start.
The Semple Stadium final will be a double-header with the Paddy Buggy Cup final between Abbey CBS and St Louis Gramme School of Ballymena.
The All Ireland Post Primary Schools senior B hurling championship final involved the Tipperary Town secondary school has a 2.15 start.
Diarmuid Kirwan will referee the Ardscoil Ris final, while Cathal McAllister will referee the Abbey CBS final.
Abbey CBS, where Limerick’s All Ireland U-21 hurling winning manager John Kiely is principal, will have Limerick students in their team and Limerick teachers in their management.
Ardscoil Ris will be playing in their third ever Croke Cup final – they lost in 2010 and 2011 to their Easter Monday opponents St Kierans.
The Kilkenny city secondary school are the defending champions and have 20 titles to their credit.
The Easter Monday final will mark the 50th anniversary of last Limerick success with Limerick CBS Sexton Street champions in 1964 and 1966.
