Emmanuel Dieseruvwe at the double as Rochdale get back on track

An Emmanuel Dieseruvwe brace helped Rochdale get their National League title push back on track with a 2-0 win at Aldershot.

Days after surrendering top spot when they conceded two late goals to draw at Halifax, Dale had no such issues with a Shots side who were unbeaten in seven games.

Dieseruvwe produced the opener 17 minutes in as a Devante Rodney through ball found the striker who finished well.

The hosts went close to an instant reply from a long throw however the Dale defence were able to block multiple efforts before Cameron Hargreaves fired over.

But Rochdale got their second after 50 minutes as Dieseruvwe produced a low finish from outside the box for his 20th goal of the campaign.
