Limerick U-21 hurling championship gets underway

The Limerick U-21 hurling championship gets underway on Tuesday night with three games down for decision.

Doon, who were minor champions three years ago, play Patrickswell in Kilbreedy in Group 1.

That game throws in at 8pm while there is a double header in Mick Neville Park. Adare and Monaleen meet at 6.45pm in Group 2 while Ahane and Kilmallock clash at 8.15pm in Group 1.

The remaining Group 1 game between champions Na Piarsaigh and Mungret doesn’t take place because of Na Piarsaigh’s All Ireland club semi-final against Oulart-the-Ballagh on Saturday.

There is another round of games on next Tuesday, February 9. The top teams in each group go forward to the semi-final.
