Free admission to Limerick races

LIMERICK Racecourse is set to host an additional National Hunt fixture on Wednesday, February 10 when admission to all racegoers will be free.

The first race on a competitive card at Greenmount Park will go to post at 1:25pm.

Racecourse management say that as a gesture of goodwill and a thank you to all patrons for their ‘fantastic support’ over the challenging festive period when two of their scheduled four day fixture had to be cancelled due to a waterlogged track, Limerick Racecourse would be offering free admission to everyone on the day.

Racegoers will also receive a free race card and a free €5 betting voucher.

Speaking on the announcement Conor O’ Neill, General Manager of Limerick Racecourse, said: “I’m delighted that we are starting the 2016 season with an excellent seven race national hunt card on Wednesday the 10thFebruary. As a gesture of goodwill we will be opening the gates for free and punters will also receive a free racecard and a free €5 bet courtesy of Anglo Printers & Ladbrokes.

It’s the ideal opportunity on behalf of all at Limerick Racecourse to extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to our customers for their continued support and particularly after what was a disheartening 2015 Christmas Racing Festival.”
