Limerick Racecourse stages a bumper two days of racing action over this May Bank Holiday weekend.

The action begins this Saturday, May 4, with Greenmount Park staging seven National Hunt races. Adding to the excitement this weekend is the fact that 150 patrons are booked on hen and stag party packages over the weekend!

The first race on Saturday is due off at 2:10pm. There will be a DJ after racing in the Munster Suite so stay around after the last race for some tunes. Sunday 5th May is an all Flat meeting with seven races on the card.

Again the first race is off at 2:10pm, and there will be live entertainment after racing with some traditional Irish music.

As the Riverfest is coming to town, Limerick will be busy spot this May Bank Holiday weekend and what better way to enjoy the weekend than a trip to the races at Greenmount Park.

General Admission prices are €15 per person each day and €10 for OAP’s and students. There will be buses available from Colbert Station to the races. A special 2 day ticket is available for €25 pp. to include race cards for both days.

The new children’s playground is also proving to be a popular location for younger race patrons along with the cinema hut. Remember, children under 16 years enjoy free admission to the races.

It is shaping up to be a busy summer at Limerick Racecourse this year, with the Fashion and Frolics Fundraiser in aid of Pieta House taking place day on Sunday, May 19.

The Twilight Racing season commences on Saturday, June 15, with a fantastic line-up confirmed this summer. The first evening of racing there will be live music by pop group This Club.

On Friday, June 21, popular Kerry Jigabyte will be performing after the race which promises to be a great night.

On Thursday, July 25, we have country music’s latest star Nathan Carter providing the entertainment after the racing action. Twilight Racing is popular for hens/stags, sports and social groups, corporates, family reunions and friends.
