Bradford hung on for their first win in seven games as they edged past Exeter 1-0 at Valley Parade.
Exeter fashioned a couple of early chances as Akeel Higgins bobbled a shot past the near post and Jaden Wareham glanced his header wide from Ethan Brierley’s cross.
Bradford responded with Bobby Pointon going close with a header set up by Josh Neufville.
They then took the lead on 20 minutes with defender Joe Wright’s low finish from captain Max Power’s cross.
Stephen Humphrys could have made it two but failed to connect properly with a close-range header.
Exeter continued to carry a threat and Bradford keeper Sam Walker tipped over the bar from Wareham.
Humphrys nodded wide with another decent opportunity for the home side early in the second half.
Bradford then almost paid for a loose back pass by Ibou Touray but Wareham blew the one-on-one chance to equalise.
Exeter pushed hard and Bradford needed two more big saves from Walker to keep out Jack Aitchison and Brierley to clinch the victory.
