Morgan Rogers has signed a new six-year contract at Aston Villa keeping him at the club until 2031.
The new deal represents a one-year extension to the England international’s terms and reflects his growing status at Villa Park.
He was key to the Champions League run enjoyed by Unai Emery’s side last season and his domestic performances were recognised in his being awarded PFA young player of the year.
In a statement on Villa’s club website, Rogers said: “It’s home. Being from the area makes it that bit sweeter but the manager, the players, the staff, everyone here is so warm and welcoming every day.

“I’m excited to come in and train, work hard and give my all every day. I really enjoy it.”
The extension, which reportedly includes a significant pay increase, comes following speculation that other Premier League sides, among them Tottenham and Chelsea, were interested in signing the former Manchester City midfielder.
An established member of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad since his first call-up in November last year, he scored his first international goal in last month’s 3-0 victory over Wales at Wembley.
He is among the 25 players called up for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania and is in a strong position to stake a claim for a place in the squad that will travel to the United States, Mexico and Canada next summer.
The 24-year-old moved to Villa Park from Middlesbrough in February 2024 and was influential in helping the club reach the Champions League.
