LIMERICK FC have been dealt a blow for next season with confirmation that winger Ian Turner is rejoining his old club Cork City.

Twenty six-year-old Turner was in excellent form for Martin Russell’s Limerick side last season, netting eight times in 29 starts for the Blues and also contributing 13 assists.

Turner had made almost one hundred league appearances for Premier Division Cork City prior to leaving for Limerick in 2014.

Turner said the chance to win silverware with Cork City was one his main reasons for returning to Leeside.

While Turner’s departure back to Cork City is a blow for Limerick FC, club chiefs will be pleased to have a squad of 10 players already confirmed for next season.
