MUNSTER ‘A’ head coach Mick O’Driscoll has included South African winger Gerhard van den Heever in his starting line-up to face the Ospreys Premiership Select in round three of the British and Irish Cup at Old Crescent RFC, Rosbrien, tomorrow, Friday night, 7.30pm.
Van den Heever’s inclusion is one of five changes O’Driscoll made to the side that defeated Yorkshire Carnegie in the B&I Cup last time out.
The one change in the pack sees academy prop Liam O’Connor come into the front row alongside Kevin O’Byrne and Mario Sagario.
The second row combination of academy player Sean McCarthy and captain Billy Holland remains in situ, as does the all-senior back row of Jordan Coghlan, Sean Doyle and Shane Buckley.
Duncan Williams and Bill Johnston both return at half-back with Cian Bohane and Matt D’Arcy taking charge of the midfield for the third consecutive game.
Winger Darren Sweetnam makes his first start of the current campaign with David Johnston continuing at full-back. Cashel RFC’s Sean O’Connor is again named amongst the replacements, while following his involvement for Ireland Sevens at the Emirates Airline International Invitational Men’s Sevens in Dubai, Young Munster’s Dan Goggin returns to the matchday squad.
